PAX Scrubs was born out of lockdown and foundation year training-when long shifts, tight budgets, and uncomfortable scrubs were part of everyday life. Created by NHS doctors, we set out to make premium-quality medical scrubs that feel as good as they look, built for healthcare professionals who do it all.
Fixing a Broken Scrubs Market
We noticed something simple: the scrubs market was broken. You could either buy cheap, boxy scrubs that didn’t last or overpriced American imports that didn’t fit UK budgets. Our answer was PAX: premium scrubs made from a breathable, 4-waystretch polyester blend: designed to move with you, wash well, and actually feel good on a 12-hour shift.
A Community, Not Just a Brand
Healthcare can feel isolating, and too often, we’re spoken for by people who’ve never set foot on a ward. We wanted to change that. From day one, PAX has been about more than scrubs-it’s about community. A space where healthcare professionals share real experiences, celebrate the wins, and laugh through the chaos.
Our Founders
Created by three NHS doctors, Dr Frankie Fan, Dr Moiz Shakeel, and Dr Anuj Thakkar hadone simple idea: to make scrubs that actually fit, feel good, and mean something. As they’ve built careers across research, medicine, and life abroad, they’ve grown PAX Scrubs into a brand that inspires healthcare professionals to live big-on and off shift.
